Here’s a look at what we’re actively working on for the next release. Nothing is set in stone, but these are the things we’re spending time on right now.
Strong’s Dictionary
Strong’s dictionary support is coming to Church Presenter. You’ll be able to look up the original Hebrew and Greek words behind any Bible verse — handy for deeper study and sermon prep.
We’re also building in localized descriptions, so the dictionary entries show up in your language rather than English only. This matters especially for the many churches using Church Presenter in languages other than English.
Better Speech-to-Text for Bible Content
The speech-to-text transcription feature is getting improved models tuned specifically for Biblical content — proper names, books of the Bible, places, and theological terms. If you’ve ever watched the transcription struggle with “Thessalonians” or “Habakkuk”, this should make a real difference.
Are you an AI developer? This is one of the areas where outside expertise would make the biggest impact. If you have experience with speech recognition, fine-tuning language models, or anything adjacent — and you’d like to help — we’d love to hear from you. Reach out via GitHub Discussions and say hi.
Quality of Life Improvements
A round of smaller improvements is in progress across different parts of the app — things that have come up in feedback and that make everyday use a bit smoother. We’ll detail these in the release notes when they’re ready.
Bug Fixes and Stability
We’re continuing to work through reported bugs and stability improvements to make Church Presenter more solid for production use. If you’ve hit a specific issue, filing it on GitHub helps us find and fix it faster.
Tell Us What You Want
Have a feature request? We want to hear it. Open a GitHub Discussion or file an issue — every suggestion gets read, and the most-requested features move up the priority list.
Church Presenter is free and open source. Download it from the home page or read what shipped in our June 2026 release.
