About

Built for churches,
by someone who attends one

Church Presenter started as a tool for one congregation and grew into a free, open-source platform used by worship teams around the world.

Why it exists

Existing worship software either cost hundreds of dollars per year or fell short on features that matter for real Sunday services — dual Bible display, live captions, ATEM integration, mobile remote control. So we built the tool we wished existed and released it for free under GNU GPL v3.

There are no investors to please and no pricing tiers to upsell. The goal is simple: give every church — regardless of budget — access to professional-grade presentation tools.

What we believe about church software

  • A church shouldn't need a subscription to project a Bible verse.
  • Volunteer AV teams deserve software that gets out of the way on Sunday morning.
  • Your song library and service schedules belong to you — not a vendor's cloud.
  • Open source means the community can fix bugs, add languages, and keep the project alive indefinitely.

The project today

Church Presenter runs on Windows, macOS, and Linux. The mobile companion app is available on iOS and Android. The interface is available in 14 languages, and the codebase is public on GitHub under the GNU GPL v3 licence.

Development is active — new releases ship regularly with improvements driven by feedback from worship teams. If you have a feature request or found a bug, the best place is GitHub Issues.

Get involved

Church Presenter is maintained by a small team and benefits from contributions from the community. If you're a developer, designer, or translator, contributions are very welcome. If you just want to say thank you or share how your church uses it, drop us a message — it genuinely helps.
